It also provides banking services, which include deposits, such as interest and non-interest bearing demand, savings and money-market accounts, and fixed and variable rate certificates of deposit; and mortgage loans, commercial and consumer loans, and loans to homeowner associations that are secured by underlying commercial and residential real estate properties, business assets, and personal properties and guarantees. The company was formerly known as Mutual Benefit Health & Accident Association and changed its name to Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company in February 1962. Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company was founded in 1909 and is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
