Building Trust Through Updates, How InfinityHR and BenefitMall Worked Together to Improve HCM Functionality
"Jeff and Phil [InfinityHR’s owners] have always been very open to hearing about our challenges and system needs. A lot of great features have been added based on our recommendations, experience with other HRIS solutions, knowledge of the market and where the industry is headed."
Professional Services Manager
Founded in 1979 in Dallas, Texas and currently employing 1300+ people, BenefitMall is a national provider of employee benefits, payroll, HR and employer services. They enable more than 200,000 small and medium sized businesses easy access to affordable and quality workforce solutions.
Sam Gangloff, Professional Services Manager, manages a great team of individuals that implement and support the use of the InfinityHR platform and its complementing modules to their client base.
The challenges facing Gangloff and her team over the years included both the functionality aspects as well as the look-and-feel of the InfinityHR platform.
The InfinityHR platform was released in the year 2003, and over time, new technology and functionality were added to the platform. However, one area that really needed an update was the look-and-feel of the overall user interface in order to help improve the experience. Compared to some other HCM platforms’ aesthetics, InfinityHR’s look was becoming aged.
As InfinityHR has had age-banded benefits functionality within the platform, Gangloff’s team at BenefitMall was finding that navigating through the software wasn’t as quick as her team needed. There were spots that required a lot of manual data entry, which slowed down their process implementing their clients’ age-banded rates. They needed an update to make the navigation easier to maneuver within the age-banded benefits pages, as well as needed to have automation added to the steps in their process that at the time, required manual data-entry work.
They needed digital signage technology to be able to allow their clients to sign and date their business-critical documentation via an online web browser or email, rather than the outdated means of sending documentation via USPS.
In 2017, InfinityHR’s leadership decided to go big in their sales and marketing team to help develop and promote a new revamping of the original InfinityHR branding.
After all, 14 years with the same branding and aesthetics to both the company and the platform’s image, it was clear a rebrand was needed.
The company rebranded first, and then the new user interface for the InfinityHR platform was released in March 2018. Gangloff is excited about the new look and has already seen an increase in interest because of the new design aspects combined with its automated functionality.
Technology companies who survive the longest are there for a reason because of the following:
They are continually pursuing improvements to the technology they create
- Technology ages quickly
- Without constant innovation and improvements, companies will fail to attain and retain their clientele
- Technology companies who are complacent, die
The feedback and requests for technology add-ons/improvements are taken in and accounted for
- Successful technology companies are not thin-skinned. They can take constructive criticism and build their product to the next level
- Successful companies will analyze the feedback they receive and will consider where and what can be improved based on a single-level need for an organization or by popular demand
This was a simple one to address as InfinityHR created and integrated BenefitMall’s platform with EZsign functionality.
Since the creation of this technology, it has allowed BenefitMall to bypass sending time sensitive documentation through the postage route anymore. With the addition of EZsign, this allows them to send documentation over email or online in a portal, for a much quicker rate of return in signatures needed.
